Health Diplomacy in Africa
The purpose of this book is to project diplomacy as an unavoidable instrument for monitoring, prevention and control of health and disaster risks among African countries. The book advocates health cooperation in Africa at a time when pandemics are recurrent. Outside of the WHO, many countries, even within regional groupings have not actively pursued health cooperation. We intend this book to provide the basis for advocating the inclusion of health diplomacy in the curricula of the training of the African diplomat with the hope to stimulate gradual policy shifts in foreign ministries, regional groupings, and the African Union.

L'histoire africaine en Afrique
Second volet d'un ouvrage précédemment édité en 1995, ce Cahier se propose de donner l'écho des travaux historiques nombreux et importants qui sont conduits dans les Universités francophones d'Afrique. Consultables dans les différents centres locaux, la plupart d'entre eux ne sont malheureusement pas publiés. Pourtant, on retrouve au coeur de ces mémoires et de ces thèses un patrimoine scientifique essentiel, dont il importe que tous les chercheurs africains et africanistes aient connaissance afin de les utiliser, de les confondre et de connaître les grands courants d'enquête actuels.

L'Afrique a malheureusement été le théâtre de nombreux conflits, dus au legs de la période coloniale et de la traite négrière, mais aussi à cause des répercussions des migrations incontrôlées, de l'injustice sociale, de la corruption, de l'autoritarisme des dirigeants etc. Le plus important, c'est l'enseignement qu'on en tire et les décisions que l'on prend pour en sortir afin de construire un avenir plus probant et prometteur pour les générations futures.
