Nature Policies and Landscape Policies
The book focuses on the relationship between nature conservation policies and landscape policies. This is a relevant subject due to the current need of reviving nature conservation policies, which are today affected by a general effectiveness deficiency. To this end, landscape policies can play a crucial role, bridging nature and culture, fostering more integrated approaches to nature conservation and stimulating the active participation of local communities. The book gathers reflections, researches and experiences developed on an international level on this subject by experts coming from different international contexts (Europe, U.S.A.), various disciplinary backgrounds (geographers, planners, biologists, historians, jurists, economists, etc.) and several institutional bodies (Universities, administrative bodies, international organizations such as IUCN, EUROPARC Federation, UNESCO, etc.). Poesia em Forma de Imagem: Arquivo nas Práticas Experimentais do Cinema
A arte do cinema possibilita novas formas de experimentar a memória. Este livro se manifesta no contexto de mudança de paradigma no que diz respeito ao arquivo e de uma necessidade de expansão de seus significados. A hipótese central elabora a ideia de que são as práticas experimentais de found footage, produzidas a partir dos anos de 1990, as que melhor expressam certas percepções da história, por ampliar as conexões entre imagens e mundos diversos, mais compatíveis com os tempos atuais, e que se esquivam, portanto, de uma lógica linear em favor de um pensamento dialético. Para desenvolver essa hipótese, discuto noções de "documento", "arquivo", "ruína", "sobrevivência", entre outras, dispondo-as sob a perspectiva da história do cinema. Retomo, ainda, os procedimentos da apropriação no cinema, nos quais analiso aspectos históricos e de formação, assim como as variações que alcançam nas práticas documentais e experimentais de found footage.
