Software architecture is foundational to the development of large, practical software-intensive applications. This brand-new text covers all facets of software architecture and how it serves as the intellectual centerpiece of software development and evolution. Critically, this text focuses on supporting creation of real implemented systems. Hence the text details not only modeling techniques, but design, implementation, deployment, and system adaptation -- as well as a host of other topics -- putting the elements in context and comparing and contrasting them with one another. Rather than focusing on one method, notation, tool, or process, this new text/reference widely surveys software architecture techniques, enabling the instructor and practitioner to choose the right tool for the job at hand. Software Architecture is intended for upper-division undergraduate and graduate courses in software architecture, software design, component-based software engineering, and distributed systems; the text may also be used in introductory as well as advanced software engineering courses.
Design and Implementation of service-oriented architectures imposes a huge number of research questions from the fields of software engineering, system analysis and modeling, adaptability, and application integration. Component orientation and web services are two approaches for design and realization of complex web-based system. Both approaches allow for dynamic application adaptation as well as integration of enterprise application. Commonly used technologies, such as J2EE and .NET, form de facto standards for the realization of complex distributed systems. Evolution of component systems has lead to web services and service-based architectures. This has been manifested in a multitude of in...
This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-proceedings of the 14th International Smalltalk Conference, ISC 2006, held in Prague, Czech Republic in September 2006. Being a live forum on cutting edge software technologies, the conference attracted researchers and professionals from both academia and industry that produced papers covering topics from foundational issues to advanced applications.
Modern software development faces the problem of fragmentation of information across heterogeneous artefacts in different modelling and programming languages. In this dissertation, the Vitruvius approach for view-based engineering is presented. Flexible views offer a compact definition of user-specific views on software systems, and can be defined the novel ModelJoin language. The process is supported by a change metamodel for metamodel evolution and change impact analysis.
A must-have book for systems analysts, architects and managers interested in enhancing successful communication in their organisation. Provides detailed examples of how to understand and implement ‘fundamental modeling concepts’ for IT-systems communication Provides an already successfully implemented model that has been used at: Siemens, Alcatel, SAP and others Benefits from extensive theoretical and practical research Provides guidelines on how ‘fundamental modeling concepts’ can be used to support UML, OO, MDA and Architectural Patterns
This book presents the most interesting talks given at ISSE 2010 – the forum for the inter-disciplinary discussion of how to adequately secure electronic business processes. The topics include: - Identity and Security Management - Technical and Economical Aspects of Cloud Security - Security Services and Large Scale Public Applications - Smart Grid Security and Emerging Security Solutions - Privacy and Data Protection Adequate information security is one of the basic requirements of all electronic business processes. It is crucial for effective solutions that the possibilities offered by security technology can be integrated with the commercial requirements of the applications. The reader may expect state-of-the-art: best papers of the Conference ISSE 2010.

Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Die Wirtschaftspresse vergleicht regelmäßig unterschiedliche Kapitalanlageformen.
