A fin de contribuir a este proposito de alfabetizacion cientifico-tecnologica en la formacion inicial de docentes e investigadores en las areas de ciencias experimentales e ingenierias, este libro presenta los resultados obtenidos en el marco del proyecto de investigacion: "Interfaces Graficas de Usuario en ROOT para la ensenanza de la fisica," desarrollado al interior del Grupo de Fisica e Informatica FISINFOR, adscrito a la Facultad de Ciencias y Educacion de la Universidad Distrital Francisco Jose de Caldas en Bogota-Colombia. Este recurso educativo para la ensenanza de la fisica en el contexto de la alfabetizacion cientifica en tecnologias de la informacion y la comunicacion permite direccionar el desarrollo de interfaces graficas programadas en ROOT (ROOTlets), no solo para la ensenanza de la fisica, sino tambien para la ensenanza de otras disciplinas, el control de experimentos remotamente, adquisicion en tiempo real de variables de instrumentacion, por ejemplo, y las posibles aplicaciones que surjan de las necesidades del lector."
