Maksud dalam penyusunan laporan ini adalah untuk mengetahui data geometrix simpang, perlengkapan jalan pada simpang, tata guna lahan pinggir jalan, pengaturan lalu lintas, serta kondisi jalan. Tujuan dari survai inventarisasi simpang adalah untuk mengetahui aset jalan pada simpang dan kondisi yang telah ada serta untuk mengetahui pemakaian lahan di pinggir jalan dimana ini sangat berpengaruh pada kondisi lalu lintas.
