En esta obra se presenta una panorámica sobre la autonomía institucional de los centros educativos. En el momento presente se está produciendo una política de descentralización educativa en todos los países europeos. En el ámbito educativo español, se está desarrollando un cambio educativo propuesto por la Reforma de la Enseñanza. En este contexto de cambio es necesario una reflexión sobre el nuevo papel a desarrollar por los centros y profesores. En la base de esta reflexión está el concepto que puede ser el motor que dé un nuevo impulso al centro educativo, nos referimos a la autonomía institucional.
