The two-volume set LNAI 13073 and 13074 constitutes the proceedings of the 10th Brazilian Conference on Intelligent Systems, BRACIS 2021, held in São Paolo, Brazil, in November-December 2021. The total of 77 papers presented in these two volumes was carefully reviewed and selected from 192 submissions. The contributions are organized in the following topical sections: Part I: Agent and Multi-Agent Systems, Planning and Reinforcement Learning; Evolutionary Computation, Metaheuristics, Constrains and Search, Combinatorial and Numerical Optimization, Knowledge Representation, Logic and Fuzzy Systems; Machine Learning and Data Mining. Part II: Multidisciplinary Artificial and Computational Intelligence and Applications; Neural Networks, Deep Learning and Computer Vision; Text Mining and Natural Language Processing. Due to the COVID-2019 pandemic, BRACIS 2021 was held as a virtual event.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Second Pacific Rim Symposium on Image and Video Technology, PSIVT 2007, held in Santiago, Chile, in December 2007. The 75 revised full papers presented together with four keynote lectures were carefully reviewed and selected from 155 submissions. The symposium features ongoing research including all aspects of video and multimedia, both technical and artistic perspectives and both theoretical and practical issues.
This book constitutes the selected papers from the scientific satellite events held in conjunction with the19th International Conference on Service-Oriented Computing, ICSOC 2021. The conference was held Dubai, United Arab Emirates in November 2021. This year, these satellite events were organized around three main tracks, including a workshop track, a demonstration track, and a tutorials track. The ICSOC 2021 workshop track consisted of the following three workshops covering a wide range of topics that fall into the general area of service computing. • International Workshop on Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations (AIOps) • 3rd Workshop on Smart Data Integration and Processing (STRAPS 2021) • International Workshop on AI-enabled Process Automation (AI-PA 2021)
Environmental problems derived from the massive use of conventional energy resources are one of the main issues that our society has been facing in recent decades. Renewable energies (and particularly solar energy) have become a highly competitive means to meet the world’s increasing energy demands in a sustainable and clean manner. One of the key research challenges for the commercial deployment of several solar energy technologies is focused on the development of feasible and durable coatings that withstand appropriate optical and thermal performance over the lifetime of the solar facilities. This book addresses a number of relevant aspects related to coatings for renewable energies, inc...
Theory and Practice of Creativity Measurement explores important and fascinating topics related to the assessment of creativity. An introductory chapter provides an overview of numerous measures to assess the multiple dimensions of creativity and addresses the parameters to be considered when evaluating the quality of the available instruments, as well as the steps to be taken in their administration and interpretation. The next six chapters each describe an instrument designed to assess a variable related to creativity, such as obstacles to personal creativity, classroom climate for creativity, creativity in mathematics, and creativity strategies at the work setting. These instruments may be used in the school context or in the workplace for diagnostic purposes and for planning intervention strategies to facilitate the development and expression of the capacity to create. The book offers numerous insights that may be a source of inspiration for researchers in the area, unveiling new possibilities for research and promotion of creativity.
