Carl Friedrich Wieland (1820-1898) was born in Röpersdorf, Brandenburg Prussia. He married Wilhelmina Friedericka Möller (d. 1852) in 1851. They had one son. He married Friedrika Manthe (1828-1906) in 1855 in Blindow. They had eight children. They emigrated in 1856 and settled in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin.
