La Universidad como gestora del desarrollo emprendedor, caso UNAD ZCBC
El capital humano es uno de los impulsores de la competitividad; en este sentido la educación empresarial es un factor clave en la ruta hacia la prosperidad colectiva. En la medida en que el país cuenta con una población más capacitada, las empresas pue-den dar respuestas más oportunas e innovadoras a un mercado global exigente y con un alto grado de incertidumbre. En este contexto, la pretensión de los autores es aportar a la innovación en herramientas de formación para el emprendimiento. La inquietud de los autores nace de la caracterización de los emprendedores de la comunidad universitaria de la Zona Centro Bogotá Cundinamarca de la UNAD, desarrollando recursos pedagógicos innovadores que articulen referentes teóricos en materia de emprendimiento, como es la Tubería Empresarial implementada por el GEM (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor); al desarrollo de herramientas tecnológicas que faciliten el aprovechamiento de las bondades de la educación virtual.
Bilingualism and Identity
Sociolinguists have been pursuing connections between language and identity for several decades. But how are language and identity related in bilingualism and multilingualism? Mobilizing the most current methodology, this collection presents new research on language identity and bilingualism in three regions where Spanish coexists with other languages. The cases are Spanish-English contact in the United States, Spanish-indigenous language contact in Latin America, and Spanish-regional language contact in Spain. This is the first comparativist book to examine language and identity construction among bi- or multilingual speakers while keeping one of the languages constant. The sociolinguistic standing of Spanish varies among the three regions depending whether or not it is a language of prestige. Comparisons therefore afford a strong constructivist perspective on how linguistic ideologies affect bi/multilingual identity formation.
Ecological Indicators for Coastal and Estuarine Environmental Assessment
Ecological indicators address ecosystems structure and/or function and are commonly used to provide synoptic information about their state. Through quantitative representations of either the forces that steer ecosystems, responses to forcing functions, or of previous, current, or future states of an ecosystem, indicators are expected to reveal conditions and trends that will help in development planning and decision making processes. Ecological indicators combine numerous environmental factors in a single value, which may be useful in terms of management and in the development of ecological concepts, compliant with the general public's understanding. Nevertheless, their application is not exempt of criticisms, the first of which is that aggregation results in an oversimplification of the ecosystem under observation. Ecological indicators must therefore be handled following the right criteria and in situations that are consistent with its intended use and scope; otherwise they may drive to confusing interpretations of data.

This book draws on participatory ethnographic research to understand how rural Colombian women work to dismantle the coloniality of power. It critically examines the ways in which colonial feminisms have homogenized the "category of woman,” ignoring the intersecting relationship of class, race, and gender, thereby excluding the voices of “subaltern women” and upholding existing power structures. Supplementing that analysis are testimonials from rural Colombian women who speak about their struggles for sovereignty and against territorial, sexual, and racialized violence enacted upon their land and their bodies. By documenting the stories of rural women and centering their voices, this book seeks to dismantle the coloniality of power and gender, and narrate and imagine decolonial feminist worlds. Scholars in gender studies, rural studies, and post-colonial studies will find this work of interest.
