In 1887 a genealogy of two of the sons of Samuel, oldest son of the Rev. Thomas Carter, first minister of Woburn, Mass., was published by Mrs. Clara A. Carter of Leominster, Mass., and Mrs. Sarah A. Carter of Fitzwilliam, N. H. This publication was designed to be merely a contribution to the history of the Carter Family, and was collected and arranged for the Carter Family Association, an organization formed at the general Reunion of the Carter Family at Woburn, Mass., in 1884.
