Description: Much correspondence discusses works proposed or offered to the Museum, and notes on titles and descriptions, as well as the continuing Sea Power exhibition, now on a national tour. The file includes a reproduction of a photograph, in Country Life, of HMS Furious. This, the Navy's first aircraft carrier, was the subject of several of Pears's works, including IWM:ART 1629 and IWM:ART 1670. There is also an account of the sinking of HMS Dunraven, in relation to IWM:ART 2879, a gift to the Museum. A larger oil of this subject was loaned to the Museum by Capt Gordon Campbell. The file also covers loans, copyright issues, and reproduction requests.
