The Bread House tells a story of an alternative ancestral line of Jesus and Mary Magdalene that is actually Jewish. The line is not based on blood-relation, but rather (Jewish) tradition passed down from Saraâthe adopted daughter of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. The story sets the symbol of Blood (elitism, dynasty, war) against the symbol of Bread (egalitarianism, unity, peace).

The Unknown History of Jewish Women Through the Ages

The Unknown History of Jewish Women—On Learning and Illiteracy: On Slavery and Liberty is a comprehensive study on the history of Jewish women, which discusses their absence from the Jewish Hebrew library of the "People of the Book" and interprets their social condition in relation to their imposed ignorance and exclusion from public literacy. The book begins with a chapter on communal education for Jewish boys, which was compulsory and free of charge for the first ten years in all traditional Jewish communities. The discussion continues with the striking absence of any communal Jewish education for girls until the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, and the implications of this fact for twentieth-century immigration to Israel (1949-1959) The following chapters discuss the social, cultural and legal contexts of this reality of female illiteracy in the Jewish community—a community that placed a supreme value on male education. The discussion focuses on the patriarchal order and the postulations, rules, norms, sanctions and mythologies that, in antiquity and the Middle Ages, laid the religious foundations of this discriminatory reality.

To persuade them to leave peacefully, Redden meets with Rabbi Levy, an influential leader in Judea. The rabbi's daughter, Rachel, agrees to show him the holy sites in hope...

Blake's 'Jerusalem' As Visionary Theatre

Susanne Sklar engages with the interpretive challenges of William Blake's illuminated epic poem Jerusalem by considering it as a piece of visionary theatre - an imaginative performance in which characters, settings, and imagery are not confined by mundane space and time - allowing readers to find coherence within its complexities.

Jewish Languages in Historical Perspective is devoted to the diverse array of spoken and written language varieties that have been employed by Jews in the Diaspora from antiquity until the twenty-first century. It focuses on the following five key themes: Jewish languages in dialogue with sacred Jewish texts, Jewish languages in contact with the co-territorial non-Jewish languages, Jewish vernacular traditions, the status of Jewish languages in the twenty-first century, and theoretical issues relating to Jewish language research. This volume includes case studies on a wide range of Jewish languages both historical and modern and devotes attention to lesser known varieties such as Jewish Berber, Judeo-Italian, and Karaim in addition to the more familiar Aramaic, Judeo-Arabic, Yiddish, and Ladino. "On top of Brill’s Journal of Jewish Languages and a number of recent publications providing systematic overviews of Jewish languages as well as related theoretical discussions, this volume is a valuable addition to the increasing interest in Jewish languages and linguistics." -Wout van Bekkum, Groningen, Bibliotheca Orientalis LXXVI 3-4 (2019)

Revelationary: Three Pillars Restored: Our Jewish Roots, the Prophetic Word, and the Daughters of God with His Sons

..."And I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, YHVH(יהוה), who calls you by your name, am the God of Israel" (Isaiah 45:3). Out of many waters, many nations, Jesus is calling His Bride to return to Him, to come Home. "The Lord YHVH will ROAR out of Zion, and shout aloud His Voice from Jerusalem and the heavens and the earth shall shake..." (Joel 3:16). It is a ROAR to heal the breach between the Jewish and Gentile believers in Jesus, those who are now and will be in the near future. We are again to be together, the Bride of Yeshua, Holy Spirit men, and women, called to build the House of God, bind the chasm, and heal the w...

Christine had shared everything with Jennifer. There was a moment of silence as the two women considered all that Christine had confessed. Jennifer could see that Christine still felt a great amount of love for Bo. "Christine, there is one question you must still be able to answer." Christine knew what Jennifer was pointing to. "Christine, if you see Bo Wyoming again, and he asks you to forgive him for the last twenty-four years, and that he still is in love with you, what will you say?" Christine had considered this very question throughout the last twenty-four years, especially over the past two or three years. She answered Jennifer very slowly as if to think through each word she spoke. "...
