Isto é, o consumo em excesso de algumas drogas lícitas e o uso de substâncias psicoativas ilícitas, provocam alteração no funcionamento cognitivo, afetivo, social e sensório motor das pessoas que usam desse meio. Essa obra nos permite pensarmos e refletirmos criticamente sobre a influência das drogas digitais, apontando os impactos negativos no desenvolvimento humano. Como também, enfatizando as principais substâncias psicoativas nocivas ao ser humano.

Violence and Desire in Brazilian Lesbian Relationships
In Violence and Desire in Brazilian Lesbian Relationships, Allen examines the lives of Brazilian women in same-sex relationships. This examination contributes to interdisciplinary discussions of female same-sex sexuality, violence, race, and citizenship. Using fifteen months of ethnographic fieldwork, primarily with Afro-Brazilian women in the city of Salvador da Bahia, Allen argues that Brazilian lesbian women reject Brazilian cultural norms that encourage male domination and female submission through their engagement in romantic relationships with each other. At the same time Allen claims lesbian women also reproduce Brazilian cultural ideals that associate passion, intensity, and power with physical dominance through their engagement in infidelity and intimate partner violence. The book demonstrates that lesbian women are nonetheless marginalized as Brazilian citizens through widespread social and political invisibility despite these apparent displays of masculinized power.

The four-volume set LNCS 8517, 8518, 8519 and 8520 constitutes the proceedings of the Third International Conference on Design, User Experience and Usability, DUXU 2014, held as part of the 16th International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction, HCII 2014, held in Heraklion, Crete, Greece in June 2014, jointly with 13 other thematically similar conferences. The total of 1476 papers and 220 posters presented at the HCII 2014 conferences were carefully reviewed and selected from 4766 submissions. These papers address the latest research and development efforts and highlight the human aspects of design and use of computing systems. Challenges of Human Rights in Latin America
Latin America offers a democratic and constitutional process, with the goals to respect fundamental human rights and control the excess of power. Nevertheless, the weaknesses of the rule of law’s institutions does not guarantee for all citizens the protection of old and new rights. In this sense, the Inter-American Fundamental Rights Conference organized by the Inter-American Network on Fundamental Rights and Democracy (RED–IDD) is an annual meeting of professors and researchers from the different universities of Latin America, addressing topics of particular importance regarding the possibilities and challenges of the consolidation of the constitutional state in the region.
