Carob Cookbook

Here's a cookbook for anyone who loves the taste of chocolate but doesn't want the caffeine, fat or the fear of allergic reaction to chocolate. Enjoy over 90 recipes that use carob instead of chocolate and get a flavor that mimics it almost exactly with the added benefits of fiber, vitamin B complex, 15 minerals including calcium, and less calories. Whether you want to cut down on chocolate, eliminate it from your diet entirely, or just add carob for its healthy benefits, you can still enjoy special treats with that rich chocolaty flavor. * * * * Tricia Hamilton is an experienced dessert expert who lives in the foothills between Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico. She and her husband raise and train horses and lead a year-round outdoor life. She continues to develop new recipes that are both nutritious and tasty.

In my opinion these are the best recipes you will find for carob bars anywhere and top anything currently on the market with respect to taste and cleanness of ingredients! I made this book to help you create your own wholesome indulgences. These are the recipes I created and when I had a carob bar company called NaamNom. In the book I offer ideas for substitutions and suggest ways to experiment with the recipes as well, should you be allergic or averse to any of the ingredients here... or if you are just exploratory! The ingredients are shared in grams. These recipes: - are vegan - have no added/refined sugar - include no funky ingredients - are gluten-free - are DELICIOUS The little book also includes ingredient sourcing, and where you can find direct links to those. I also include ways in which you can help infuse your food with Love, which I did while running this as a food business. NOTE: If you are looking for a substitute for chocolate... this may or may not work for you. When I made these bars, many could not tell the difference and were delighted. And some could and were less delighted. There is only one way to find out.

Cooking by White

If you are only looking for a few recipes to add to your collection, this is not the book! If you are looking for a book containing an entire library of recipes, health counsel, and details on everything from making fruit fillings to Thanksgiving dinner, then you have come to the right place! Author Thelma Clark combines years of meatless cooking experience with her in-depth research of Ellen G. White’s writings from Counsels on Diet and Foods in this flavor-filled new cookbook. Along with gems gleaned from her studies, she provides research from modern sources to educate readers on the nutrition and health of numerous ingredients. As you turn the pages, you can practically taste the flavors and smell the scents of each delicious dish being prepared. While her recipes focus on foods and methods for overall health, she maintains a balance that makes this practical for any cook, with options for dairy and dairy-free, cook and no-cook, eat now or eat later, and many more alternatives. This book makes it easy to create meals simply, healthfully, and economically—all without sacrificing taste.
