Ever After

"Diana's many fans are sure to be delighted by Edwards's intimate prose and detailed descriptions." -Publishers Weekly. Perfect for fans of Netflix's The Crown. "This is the stuff of fairy tales," said the Archbishop of Canterbury on July 23, 1981, after the 20-year-old Lady Diana Spencer arrived in a glass coach for her wedding to Prince Charles. But everyone knows how that fairy tale ended. Drawing upon intensive research and interviews, acclaimed biographer Anne Edwards, well-known for her revelatory and incisive books on members of Britain's royal family, here uncovers new details of Diana's life and her search for love; of her family background; and of a betrayal, historic in its outcom...

Chance Saint Edwards, The Right Honorable Twelfth Earl of Tricastle, liked having people under his thumb. He liked when they owed him money. It made them more useful to him and he found even the most worthless of society could be of use to him. After all, they had ears and because they were considered so worthless, people often spoke unguardedly around them. Amongst the most worthless had to be Adrian Mitchell, and arrogant, overdressed little toad who could not even play a decent game of cards, but to his amazement, even the worthless Mr. Mitchell had suddenly become of value.

"The Roebuck Basin on Australia's offshore north-western margin is the focus of a regional hydrocarbon prospectivity assessment being undertaken by the North West Margin Energy Studies (NWMES) section. This offshore program is designed to produce pre-competitive information to assist with the evaluation of the hydrocarbon resource potential of the central North West Shelf and facilitate exploration investment in Australia. The recent oil and gas discoveries at Phoenix South 1 (2014), Roc 1 (2015-16), Roc 2 (2016), Phoenix South 2 (2016), Phoenix South 3 (2018) and Dorado 1 (2018) wells in the Bedout Sub-basin demonstrate the presence of a petroleum system in Lower Triassic strata. The current study aims to better understand this new petroleum system and establish its extent. As part of this program, a range of organic geochemical analyses were acquired on two crude oils from the Phoenix South 1 ST2 well with these data released in this dataset." -- Online abstract.

"The Browse Basin Australian Petroleum Accumulations (APA) report provides a summary of petroleum discoveries and significant hydrocarbon shows found within the basin up until May 2014. This report differs slightly from previous reports in this series in that it documents `inferred¿ accumulations, whereas previous APA¿s reported a `demonstrated discovery¿; that is, a discrete, measured recovery of petroleum from a test undertaken in an exploration well. The Browse Basin lies offshore from the remote Western Australia Kimberley region and hosts vast reserves of gas, some of which are rich in condensate, making it Australia¿s next major conventional liquefied natural gas (LNG) province on ...

"Cooper Basin is an upper Carboniferous-Middle Triassic intracratonic basin in northeastern South Australia and southwestern Queensland. The basin is Australia's premier onshore hydrocarbon producing province and also hosts a range of unconventional gas play types within the Permian Gidgealpa Group, including basin-centred gas and tight gas accumulations, deep dry coal gas associated with the Patchawarra and Toolachee formations, the Murteree and Roseneath shale gas plays and deep coal seam gas in the Weena Trough (e.g. Goldstein et al., 2012). The principal source rocks for these plays are the Permian coals and coaly shales of the Gidgealpa Group (Boreham & Hill, 1998; Deighton et al., 2003; Carr et al., 2016). Mapping the petroleum generation potential of these source rocks, together with describing the resulting fluid composition, is critical for understanding the hydrocarbon prospectivity of the basin. This study applies petroleum systems analysis to investigate the maturity and generation potential of the Cooper Basin source rocks and is underpinned by a public domain, pseudo-3D petroleum systems model (Hall & Palu, 2016)."--Online abstract.

"The Waukarlycarly 1 stratigraphic well was drilled in the Waukarlycarly Embayment, 67 km west of Telfer and provides stratigraphic control for the geology imaged by the Kidson seismic line (Figure 1). The well was drilled to a total drillers depth (TD) of 2680.53 mRT and penetrated a thin Cenozoic cover overlying a Permian fluvial clastic succession that includes glacial diamictite. These siliciclastics unconformably overlie an extremely thick (>1730 m) interpreted Ordovician succession before terminating in low-grade metasediments of Neoproterozoic age. Log characterisation, core analysis, geochronology, petrographic and palaeontological studies have been carried out to characterise the lithology, age and depositional environment of these sediments. As part of this comprehensive analytical program, magnetic susceptibility and bulk density analyses were undertaken by Geoscience Australia on selected rock samples."--Online abstract
