Proceedings of DINAME 2017
This book presents the most significant contributions to the DINAME 2017 conference, covering a range of dynamic problems to provide insights into recent trends and advances in a broad variety of fields seldom found in other proceedings volumes. DINAME has been held every two years since 1986 and is internationally recognized as a central forum for discussing scientific achievements related to dynamic problems in mechanics. Unlike many other conferences, it employs a single-session format for the oral presentations of all papers, which limits the number of accepted papers to roughly 100 and makes the evaluation process extremely rigorous. The papers gathered here will be of interest to all researchers, graduate students and engineering professionals working in the fields of mechanical and mechatronics engineering and related areas around the globe.

Delo je znanstveno–kritična objava trinajste piranske notarske knjige iz let 1298–1317. V tovrstne knjige so notarji mediteranskega prostora pred stoletji v stenografski obliki, posebnem črkopisu in preprosti latinščini vpisovali bistvo dogovorov o trgovskem in kreditnem poslovanju, o družabniških razmerjih na različnih gospodarskih področjih, o poslih z nepremičninami, plačilu storitev, pa tudi o ženitnih dogovorih in zapuščinah. Zapisi slikajo gospodarsko in družbeno življenje mest in njihove okolice, njihovo upravo, sodstvo, vsakdanje življenje, populacijski razvoj, urbanistično podobo, kulturo in umetnost, s čimer nudijo podatke raziskovalcem različnih strok.
The Colonial Past in History Textbooks
This book examines the evolving representations of the colonial past from the mid-19th century up to decolonization in the 1960s and 70s ? the so-called era of Modern Imperialism – in post-war history textbooks from across the world. The aim of the book is to examine the evolving outlook of colonial representations in history education and the underpinning explanations for the specific outlook in different – former colonizer and colonized – countries (to be found in collective memory, popular historical culture, social representations, identity-building processes, and the state of historical knowledge within academia). The approach of the book is novel and innovative in different ways....
Vehicle Dynamics of Modern Passenger Cars
The book provides the essential features necessary to understand and apply the mathematical-mechanical characteristics and tools for vehicle dynamics including control mechanism. An introduction to passenger car modeling of different complexities provides the basics for the dynamical behavior and presents vehicle models later used for the application of control strategies. The presented modeling of the tire behavior, also for transient changes of the contact patch properties, shows the necessary mathematical descriptions used for the simulation of the vehicle dynamics. The introduction to control for cars and its extension to complex applications using e.g. observers and state estimators is a main part of the book. Finally the formulation of proper multibody codes for the simulation leads to the integration of all parts. Examples of simulations and corresponding test verifications show the profit of such a theoretical support for the investigation of the dynamics of passenger cars.
