This booklet assesses the music unit (popularly referred to as the ‘Music Ministry’) of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries as a means of discovering how music departments of Nigerian Pentecostal churches (especially those based in Yorùbáland) operate. It is a must read as it evaluates the history, structure and departments within the Music Ministry of Dr D.K. Olukoya's church.
This book addresses the belief system and practices of Yorùbá Pentecostal churches using the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries church as case study. It explores the ritual space, worship formats, rites and rituals of Yorùbá Pentecostal Christianity while also providing evidence to support the claim that music is an indispensable element of present-day Yorùbá Pentecostal church ritual. The book is an attempt to understand the operational framework of present-day Yorùbá Pentecostal churches and their music ministries through the lens of the MFM church. The author also investigates the keywords often used by congregants to describe their emotional response to certain rites within the liturgy.

This book is the first comprehensive analysis on the history of infrastructural development and urban policies in Lagos since the colonial annexation to date. I think that the author faced almost three challenges to write it. It was necessary to consider a long term analysis (one century and a half), to take into consideration the growing size of the city – the biggest in the south of the Sahara since the 1960s – and, finally, to inquire into three key infrastructural sectors: water supply, electricity supply and transportation system. Both fascinating and depressing issues for town planners and officials; Lagos is probably one of very few cities with more than five million inhabitants without mass transportation system.
