Hago deducciones en lugar de estudios ortodoxos, pero algunas hipótesis pueden abrir caminos de investigación. Por eso me atrevo a presentar mis opiniones, incluso en su estado actual, inmaduro e imperfecto.

El extraño caso del Dr. Parkinson es ya un libro clásico de divulgación de esta enfermedad: desde su presentación en 1997, se han distribuido más de diez mil ejemplares, contabilizando las ediciones en catalán y en inglés. El libro estaba agotado hace años y decidí hacer una revisión, actualizada, en especial de los nuevos tratamientos médicos y los progresos de Cirugía del Parkinson. Se mantiene el esquema inicial y los capítulos. He revisado el conjunto pero, lógicamente, los aspectos de historia y clínica apenas varían; en los de diagnóstico incluyo los avances en neuroimagen. El libro se edita y distribuye directamente en Amazon. Espero que continúe ayudando a divulgar la enfermedad de Parkinson y que reporte algún beneficio a los que la padecen y a sus familiares. Los nuevos tratamientos son esperanzadores.
