Professor Hailu brings fresh, new insights into the operation of the spiritual gifts as found in 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 from his ministerial experiences. He tells how he was baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1993 and started experiencing what can only be termed “explosive” manifestations of the spiritual gifts shortly thereafter. He takes the position that every Christian is granted one or more gifts upon being born-again, but only fully “unwraps” those gifts upon receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. He emphasizes the importance of developing a personal relationship with and dependence on the Holy Spirit in order to exhibit the power-filled life that Jesus Christ had in his earthly ministry. As both an academic and a religious leader, this work constitutes an important contribution to the theological dialogue on this important theme. It is simply written so that the layperson as well as the theologian can rejoice with this man whom God has raised up to minister to the present generation.
Deliverance is to be set free from spiritual, physical and emotional infirmities and afflictions by God’s divine interventions. Every one of us needs deliverance. The book outlines different ways and examples God delivered His people in the past and delivering them today. The author shares his personal experiences of many years of deliverance ministry. The scriptures tell us that God delivers us from the kingdom of darkness in many ways. God delivers whoever cries out to him for help. All you have to do is to recognize him as your deliverer and reach out to him no matter how difficult your problem might be. There is nothing too difficult to God. When the power of the Holy Spirit is present, closed doors will be opened. No place is restricted because the anointing breaks every bondage, snare, and barrier (Isaiah 10:27). Every fence and closed gate will be destroyed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Every sickness, disease and terminal illness will be cancelled by the power of the anoi...

In 1967, at the age of 23, Elizabeth Laird set off for Addis Ababa to take up her first teaching post. She was introduced to Haile Selassie, made a pilgrimage across the mountains on foot to the ancient city of Lalibela, hitched a ride on an oil tanker across the Danakil Desert, and was arrested for a murder she had not committed. Back in Britain, Laird established herself as a major author of fiction for children and young adults, but she always wanted to return to Ethiopia. Her chance came in the late 1990s, when the British Council in Addis Ababa invited her to collect folk stories from every region of the country. Encountering ex-guerrilla fighters, camel traders, Coptic nuns and tribespeople en route, Laird has written a remarkable account of her journey interwoven with a treasure trove of stories featuring princes and maidens, snakes and lions, zombies and hyena-women.
The realm of the Spirit is the Holy Spirit’s atmosphere where he operates freely and independently. The Holy Spirit is the reason for the existence of the realm of the Spirit. The realm of the Spirit cannot exist apart from the Holy Spirit. The realm of the Spirit cannot be brought into existence by any other means. One must encounter the Holy Spirit to access the realm of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit must dwell in us before the realm of the Spirit dwells in us. Therefore, we ought to pursue the Holy Spirit himself to experience the realm of the Spirit. A believer has to build a relationship with the Holy Spirit to access the realm of the Spirit. Being born-again is the first step to access...
