Aaron M. Zimmerman (1865-1954), son of Martin W. Zimmerman and Anna Martin, married Magadelna Zimmerman in 1866, and moved from land near Martindale to land near Terre Hill, Pennsylvania in the 1900s. Des- cendants lived in Pennsylvania and elsewhere.

Hans Zimmerman (1720-1786) and a brother, Christian Zimmerman (d.1787) were two of the sons of Glause Zimmerman of Europe. They were Mennonites who emigrated from the Palatinate to Philadelphia in 1732, but probably were descendants of Swiss immigrants to the Palatinate. Hans married Anna K. Webber and settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, New York, Virginia, Ohio, Iowa, Nebraska, California and elsewhere. Some descendants immigrated to Ontario, and progeny lived in Ontario, British Columbia and elsewhere in Canada.

The first Reiff families were found in Franconia districts of eastern Pennsylvania. They later spread to Lancaster, Lebanon, York and Cumberland. They later moved to Maryland, Ontario, Canada, Virginia and on to Ohio and West. Abraham Reiff married Barbara Groff. He was the son of a deacon also named Abraham. Abraham died in 1763. He and Barbara had eleven children.

Christian Burkholder (1746-1809), a son of Christian Burkholder, was born in Switzerland. His father died during arrangements to move the family to America, so his mother immigrated with the children, settling in Pennsylvania. He married Anna Groff, a daughter of Daniel Groff, before 1767. They had nine children. They were Mennonites, and descendants appear to live mostly in Pennsylvania.

Moses M. Horning (1830-1906) was born on his father's farm in Brecknock Twp., along the Allegheny Creek, Pennsylvania. He was a son of Joseph and Fannie Mosser Horning. He married Lavina M. Gehman (1832- 1897) in 1853. She was a daughter of Benjamin B. and Elizabeth (Musser) Gehman. Early ancestors of the Horning family came origi- nally from Germany in the early 18th century. The emigrant ancestor of the Gehman family, Christian Gehman, came from Switzerland in 1754. Members of this family are mennonites. Descendants live in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Maryland, Canada and elsewhere.
