Abuse in the Latin American Church
This book addresses the crisis of sexual abuse in the Roman Catholic Church in Latin America, the region of the world with the highest percentage of Catholics. Bringing together research from across the continent, it demonstrates that abuse within the Church is indeed a global phenomenon, though abuses have taken different forms according to varying sociocultural contexts. With attention to abuses committed against children, women and vulnerable adults – by both men and women – within the settings of parishes, new religious movements and international religious organizations, it also raises questions of justice, asking how to assess the suffering of victims, how to deal with abusers and how to prevent abuses. It will therefore be of interest to scholars of religious studies, sociology, Latin American studies, criminology, theology, and religious leaders with interests in the abuses and scandals that have been revealed in the worldwide Church.

Narrative Analysis of Feedback-loops Affecting Latino Male Youth's Identify and Self-advocacy in Connection to Career Preparation
Only half of the Latino male student population in the United States graduates from high school and pursues a 2- or 4-year career preparation program (Pew Research Center, 2015; U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2018). This phenomenon is problematic because the lack of career preparation jeopardizes this population's ability to reach fulfillment and live above the poverty level, perpetuating social inequities and semi-caste systems (Flores-Gonzalez, 2002; Schott Foundation for Public Education, 2016). The Čakavian Dialect of Orbanici Near Zminj in Istria
Cakavian dialects, the westernmost dialects of the South Slavic language area, have long attracted the attention of investigators, largely owing to the complexity of their prosodic systems. These prosodic systems are interesting not only from a typological point of view, but also contain material of great importance for the study of Slavic historical accentology. The description of a Cakavian dialect in Istria (Croatia) presented in this volume contributes data for South Slavic historical dialectology, and for historical accentology. The book includes an introduction on Cakavian and other South Slavic dialects, particularly those spoken in Istria, and chapters, based on fieldwork by the author, on the phonology, morphology and some syntactic phenomena of the dialect of Orbanici. In the chapters on morphology, special attention is paid to accentuation types. The book also contains dialect texts (70 pp.) and a lexicon, in which all attested forms are listed.
