The Legacy of János S. Petőfi
János S. Petőfi (1931-2013) was one of the founders of Text Linguistics in Germany in the early ‘70s. He developed different text models, the most famous of which were the Text Structure World Structure Theory (TeSWeST) and Semiotic Textology. In this volume, some of his colleagues and disciples discuss his theoretical contributions to prove the enormous impact of his thoughts in the fields of linguistics, literary theory, rhetoric and semiotics. The essays here consider the notion of coherence, which Petőfi deemed to be the only sufficient condition for textuality, the relationships between his textual models and disciplines such as cognitive, computational and corpus linguistics, and his contributions to the analysis of literary and multimedial texts.
Orchestration of Learning Environments in the Digital World

The Landscape of Lexicography
This book consists of a series of papers that look at three different aspects of the landscape as seen in dictionaries from across Europe. Multilingual diachronic case studies into lexicographical descriptions of flora, landscape features and colours concentrate on three supposedly simple words: daisies (Bellis perenis L.), hills and the colour red. The work is part of the ongoing LandLex initiative, originally developed as part of the COST ENeL - European Network for e-Lexicography - action. The group brings together researchers in lexicography and lexicology from across Europe and is dedicated to studying multilingual and diachronic issues in language. Contrastive Phraseology
This volume is addressed to researchers in the field of phraseology, and to teachers, translators and lexicographers. It is a collection of essays offering a comprehensive, modern analysis of phrasemes, embracing a wide range of subjects and themes, from linguistic, both applied and theoretical, to cultural aspects. The contrastive approach underlying this variety of themes allows the divergences and analogies between phraseological units in two or more languages to be outlined. The languages compared here are both major and minor, European and non-European, and the text includes contrastive analyses of the most commonly investigated languages (French-German, English-Spanish, Russian-German), as well as some less frequently investigated languages (like Ukrainian, Romanian, Georgian and Thai), which are not as well-represented in phraseological description, despite their scientific interest.
