Thomas Hamilton (1745-1807) was born in Charles County, Maryland. He married Ann Hodgkin in 1781, and with eight children they moved to Washington County, Kentucky in 1797. Descendants have scattered throughout the United States.

Maureen Quilligan explores the remarkable presence in the Renaissance of what she calls "incest schemes" in the books of a small number of influential women who claimed an active female authority by writing in high canonical genres and who, even more transgressively for the time, sought publication in print. Late Babylonian Administrative and Legal Texts, Concerning Craftsmen, from the Eanna Archive
More than three hundred previously unpublished texts from the Yale Babylonian Collection Yuval Levavi and Elizabeth E. Payne present 315 previously unpublished texts held in the Yale Babylonian Collection at the Yale Peabody Museum. The texts shed light on textile and metal workers in the Eanna temple in Uruk during the Neo-Babylonian Period, about 626 to 539 BCE. This volume of the Yale Oriental Series features a full edition of each text, including hand copies, transliterations, translations, and essential commentary, allowing unprecedented access to these primary sources.
