Raízes de sucesso agrícola
A presente obra é uma adaptação em livro que surgiu a partir da tese de doutoramento defendida por Elsa Barbosa Simões, sob a orientação de Margarida Saraiva, na Universidade de Évora – Portugal, em julho de 2020. Esta pesquisa, baseada num estudo exploratório realizado no perímetro de rega da Barragem do Poilão, Ilha de Santigo – Cabo Verde, tem como objetivo principal ser um contributo para o debate local sobre a qualidade, satisfação e produção hortofrutícola nas unidades de produção agrícola cabo-verdianas. Ao focar nessa realidade específica, busca-se oferecer insights e informações relevantes que possam alimentar discussões e reflexões sobre a sustentabilidade do setor agrícola, em que a promoção da eficiência, produtividade e sustentabilidade na agricultura é vista como um passo crucial para alcançar um futuro melhor, designadamente em Cabo Verde.

粮食损失和浪费对我们这个时代许多最紧迫的挑战都有影响。从粮食生产到消费的各个环节都存在严重的粮食损失和浪费。与此同时，全球有数亿人食物不足，数十亿人无法负担健康膳食。粮食损失和浪费加剧气候变化，对世界自然资源、生态系统和生物多样性带来巨大压力，危及我们和子孙后代确保粮食安全、营养和生计的能力，使我们无法跨越自然环境可持续发展的关键门槛。 《减少粮食损失和浪费自愿行为守则》系应粮农组织农业委员会（农委）2018年的要求制定，并于2021年6月由粮农组织大会第四十二届会议批准。该守则提出了应遵守的总体行动框架和指导原则，以减少粮食损失和浪费，同时促进粮食体系更加高效、包容、有韧性和可持续。各国政府可以该框架为基础，制定战略、政策和立法。该框架还可用以制定减少粮食损失和浪费的计划，以及编写供从业人员使用的技术准则。
Abastecimento alimentar
Esta obra trata do tema “abastecimento alimentar”, buscando enfatizar as redes alimentares alternativas que vêm se constituindo como um contramovimento ao sistema agroalimentar dominante. Os textos que a constituem envolvem pesquisas realizadas pelos organizadores e autores, os quais representam a Universidade Federal da Fronteira Sul (UFFS), a Universidade de Cabo Verde (Uni-CV) e a Universidad de la República Uruguay (Udelar), além de outras instituições brasileiras. A obra divide-se em três partes: a primeira introduz as discussões sobre a sustentabilidade do sistema alimentar, as formas alternativas de abastecimento e as políticas brasileiras para o setor; a segunda aborda os mercados institucionais, principalmente o caso do Programa Nacional de Alimentação Escolar e o do Programa de Aquisição de Alimentos, assim como experiências nesse sentido em Cabo Verde e no Uruguai; a terceira parte apresenta experiências brasileiras e uruguaias de redes alternativas de abastecimento alimentar e de consumo responsável e comercialização de produtos orgânicos/agroecológicos.

El 33.º período de sesiones del Comité de Pesca (COFI) se celebró en Roma (Italia) del 9 al 13 de julio de 2018. Report of the Thirty-third Session of the Committee on Fisheries
The Thirty-third Session of the Committee on Fisheries (COFI) was held in Rome, Italy, from 9 to 13 July 2018. This is a report of the Session reflecting the discussions which took place and containing all recommendations and decisions taken by the Committee. A synopsis of the outcome of the Session is presented in the abstract and all supplementary information is included in the appendixes.
Voluntary code of conduct for food loss and waste reduction
At its 26th Session in October 2018, the FAO Committee on Agriculture (COAG) requested FAO to take the lead to develop voluntary codes of conduct for the reduction of food loss and food waste. In response to the COAG request, FAO developed the Voluntary Code of Conduct for Food Loss and Waste Reduction, which was endorsed by the 42nd Session of the FAO Conference in June 2021. The Voluntary Code of Conduct for Food Loss and Waste Reduction sets out a generic framework of actions and guiding principles that should be followed to reduce food loss and waste (FLW) and support the transformation of agrifood systems to be more efficient, more inclusive, more resilient and more sustainable. Governments can use the framework as a basis for the development of strategies, policies and legislations, which are critical elements of intervention packages aimed at effectively and sustainably reducing FLW. The framework can also serve for the formulation of programmes on FLW reduction and for the preparation of technical guidelines for use by practitioners.
