This book provides a collection of articles resulting from the International Conference on History, Social Sciences, and Education (ICHSE), which was held on 11 September 2021. The Department of History of Malang State University choose "Embracing New Perspectives in History, Social Sciences, and Education" as the main topic, and elaborates on five subthemes: 1) new trends in historical research; 2) formulation of new perspectives in history, social sciences, and education; 3) transdisciplinary research in history, social sciences, and education; 4) innovations in historical and social science learning during pandemics; 5) New ideas in the research and practice of social sciences and educati...
This is an open access book. The world is getting ready to face the post-COVID-19 pandemic, this can be seen from the decline in the existing indicators of morbidity and mortality. However, the effects of the pandemic do not only have implications for health problems, but also in various fields such as social, mental, economic, including quality of life.Various ways of preparation for improvement Improving the quality of life after a pandemic includes a health literacy approach, nutrition, and a holistic approach. For this reason, the ICHWB 2022 international seminar focuses on health recovery in improving the quality of life after a pandemic from the point of view of health literacy, nutrition...
This is an open access book. The objectives of the conference are as follows. to update knowledge about the relevant program priorities for addressing CVD burden in developing countries to explore options for the comprehensive management of primary cardiovascular risk factors such as high blood pressure, high blood glucose level, smoking, and sedentary lifestyle to discuss the latest guidance and evidence on the early detection and management of CVD and its implementation in the context of developing countries, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the management of CVD to strengthen interprofessional collaboration in addressing challenges using multidisciplinary approaches for the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with CVD to update knowledge about health technology science and innovation related to the management and rehabilitation of patients with CVD.
This book describes the concepts, strategies and techniques for pulse-crop improvement in the era of climate change, highlighting the latest advances in plant molecular mapping and genome sequencing. Genetic mapping of genes and QTLs has broadened the scope of marker-assisted breeding and map-based cloning in almost all major pulse crops. Genetic transformation, particularly using alien genes conferring resistance to herbicide, insects and diseases has facilitated the development of a huge number of genetically modified varieties of the major pulse crops. Since the genome sequencing of rice in 2002, genomes of over 7 pulse crops have been sequenced. This has resulted in the possibility of deciphering the exact nucleotide sequence and chromosomal positions of agroeconomic genes. Most importantly, comparative genomics and genotyping-by-sequencing has opened up a new vista for exploring wild crop relatives for identification of useful donor genes.
This is an open access book. Each country in Southeast Asia has experienced numerous adversities, from pandemic and disasters, to inequalities and threats to democracy. Adding to these challenges, are our common experience of colonialism where its legacies still resonate in the present. Despite these challenges, Southeast Asia continue to participate in global commitments geared towards realizing sustainable development, democracy, and countervailing the imbalance global power relation. Furthermore, Southeast Asia has been the center of studies that critically examined the global power of knowledge production. Categories of ‘developing, undeveloped, or third world’ have been largely ques...

The new standards and changes exist in social science studies. Covid 19, especially in Indonesia, at the end of 2019, has an impact on changes in every sector of life. This change is a form of community adaptation. Therefore, this conference aims to explore theoretical and practical developments of the social sciences, to build academic networks while gathering academics from various research institutes and universities. This book provides the new standard and encourages many thoughts in theoretical and empirical studies in the social field. The scope that can be generated in this standard includes patterns, opportunities, and challenges in social science, learning to new standards, learning...
