Current Debates in History & Politics
In the history section, the subject of health was handled with two of the studies focusing on the war period and the other focusing on Antique Greece period. In this context, while war as a political instrument and attitudes of social groups towards its influences were handles, the field of institutional construction was also simultaneously focused by one of the articles. The article, which deals with the Antique Greece period, alongside the place of the god, goddesses, mythological characters and medicus in the social structure of Greece society, their positions in the sphere of health were being handled. Within the section of politics, there are seven different articles investigates such different subjects as political parties, the importance of the gender roles, religion and identity matters relating with the Turkish right, govermentality regarding to genetic knowledge and urbanization, and terror typologies. Consequently, the papers in the book draw attention to different aspects of history and politics. We believe that such studies would contribute to the development of debates in social sciences and encourage interdisciplinary approaches.
Current Debates in History & Politics
As the outcome of the sixth international congress, the papers in this volume cover a wide range of topics related to the main theme of the conference, titled “Current Debates in Social Sciences”, and basically focus on politics and history. In this context, the articles in the book draw attention to the different aspects of history and politics such as the transition period from the Ottoman Empire to the Turkish Republic, theoretical discussions in politics, history and arts, and the issues regarding neo-liberalism, migration, citizenship and communication. Even though most of the papers deal with the issues regarding Turkey, there are also studies on ancient Anatolia, the Medieval Muslim Dynasties, the Mughal period, the Ottomans and Tsarist Russia. We believe that these studies would contribute to the development of debates in social sciences and encourage interdisciplinary approaches.

ASEAD 9. ULUSLARARASI SOSYAL BİLİMLER SEMPOZYUMU
Sosyal ve Ekonomi Araştırmaları Dergisi (ASEAD)(Eurasian Journal of Social and Economic Research (EJSER) 2013 yılında kurularak, 2014 yılında Türkçe ve İngilizce dilinde yayınlanmaya başlayan ulusal hakemli elektronik bir dergidir. 2017 yılından itibaren Aylık olarak yayınlanmaya, 2021 yılından itibaren ise senede en az dört defa yayınlanmaya başlayan ASEAD (Avrasya Sosyal ve Ekonomi Araştırmaları Dergisi) TÜBİTAK-ULAKBİM tarafından veri tabanında taranmakta, Doçentlik ve Teşvik başvurularında kabul görmektedir. ASEAD akademisyenlerin bireysel veya disiplinler arası ortak çalışmalar yapmasına aracılık etmek, genç akademisyenlere yeni ufuklar kazandırarak teşvik etmek, akademisyenlere ortak çalışmalar yapabilecekleri yeni konular hakkında fikir ortamı oluşturmak, yeni kültür ve coğrafyalarla tanışmalarına imkan sağlamak amacıyla sosyal bilimler alanında sempozyumlar düzenleyerek akademik anlamda katkılar sağlamaktadır. Avrasya Sosyal ve Ekonomi Araştırmaları Dergisi’nde yayınlanan eserlerdeki görüşler ve sorumluluk yazarına aittir. Yayın hakları saklı olup izinsiz hiçbir şekilde çoğaltılamaz.
