Relações em perpétuo desequilíbrio
Este livro tem por objetivo descrever e analisar o sistema de metades tupi-kagwahiva. A reflexão tem como foco privilegiado as relações entre as formas e práticas de reprodução social dos povos Kagwahiva da Amazônia meridional, assim como as idéias e valores por eles sustentados sobre si mesmos e sobre seus Outros. A intenção é trazer ao debate sobre as organizações dualistas um regime marcado por um concentrismo de caráter incorporante, em certo sentido análogo ao modelo da predação característico dos povos de língua Tupi-Guarani. Esse concentrismo inflete em toda a sociedade kagwahiva produzindo um viés ambivalente na organização social e no ritual. Além disso, presente nos mitos de maneira implícita, o dualismo kagwahiva é modelo de abertura ao Outro e uma forma de expressão que opera através da oposição entre estabilidade e mudança. Baseada em uma pesquisa etnográfica realizada entre os Tenharim do rio Marmelos e entre os Amondawa, o estudo corresponde a uma interpretação do dualismo sensível à vida ritual e às classificações sócio-cosmológicas e institucionais nativas.

This collection of poems from one of Poland's major contemporary writers, Grzegorz Wróblewski, demonstrates his characteristic virtues: anthropological focus, objectivist detachment (though not without hallucinatory interference), minimalistic precision. But it also signals the presence of new elements. One of them is an extensive reliance on found language, the preferred mode of Anglophone conceptual writers, here acquiring a distinctly Eastern European flavor. Another is his candor, which teases readers with glimpses of his most private feelings. Bleak and terse, Wróblewski subjects his material to almost clinical treatment in order to better dissect and so understand the series of events that we call reality.
