Crestfallen

Destiny has always been a curious girl. But this time, curiosity takes a wrong turn in her life, setting her on the path of danger, jeopardy, and dark romance. Destiny has no idea that she's walking with a blindfold into this one and she's completely unprepared for the daring adventure set on the path ahead of her. After finding a Dark Angel shot down by government fighter-jets, Destiny begins to feel a strange tugging at her heart for Jared and before she could even decipher what is happening, they are falling for each other. But it's not that easy. With unexpected enemies driving them away from home, they are on the run, fleeing from their pursuing penalties. As Destiny and Jared fight the agonizing conflicts to be together, little do they know that a solution with a dangerously powerful, satirical price is lurking within the shadows.

Computational Approaches for Identifying Drugs Against Alzheimer's Disease

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia which is incurable. Although some kinds of memory loss are normal during aging, these are not severe enough to interfere with the level of function. ß-Secretase is an important protease in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease. Some statine-based peptidomimetics show inhibitory activities to the ß-secretase. To explore the inhibitory mechanism, molecular docking and three-dimensional quantitative structure-activity relationship (3D-QSAR) studies on these analogues were performed. Quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) modeling pertains to the construction of predictive models of biological activities as a function o...

This index of federal naturalizations in the state of Georgia refers to two documents associated with the naturalization process, "Declaration of Intention" and "Petition for Naturalization." Prior to September 1906, this process could be accomplished in any court of record. Subsequent to that date the process was transferred to the Federal Court System. Since the initial publication of this book in 1996, the federal naturalization records have been digitized and are available on ancestry.com. The introduction to this volume contains a detailed explanation on the naturalization process and will help researchers better understand the digitized records. The name index allows researchers to easily pick up alternate spellings of names and to verify the existence of a naturalization record for an individual.

A brilliant and unique biography of Andy Warhol's tragic muse, the 60s icon Edie Sedgwick ‘Exceptionally seductive... You can’t put it down’ LA Times Outrageous, vulnerable and strikingly beautiful - in the 1960s Edie Sedgwick became both an emblem of, and a memorial to, the doomed world spawned by Andy Warhol. Born into a wealthy New England Edie’s childhood was dominated by a brutal but glamourous father. Fleeing to New York, she became an instant celebrity, known to everyone in the literary, artistic and fashionable worlds. She was Warhol's twin soul, his creature, the superstar of his films and, finally, the victim of a life which he created for her. Jean Stein’s classic biography of Edie is an American fable on an epic scale - the story of a short, crowded and vivid life which is also the story of a decade like no other. ‘Edie Sedgwick was the spirit of the sixties, and these pages capture her power to dazzle us... This is the book of the Sixties we have been waiting for’ Norman Mailer
