Letters of George Collins and Maria Collins
MS Acc10.095 comprises a letter dated 8 May 1808 from George Collins to Charles Cox about his sister-in-law Maria Collins moving from her London address to 56 Beaumont Street, Portland Place. There is also a letter dated 21 September 1809 from Maria Collins, Bisely, Bedford, to Charles Cox. She writes about the possibility of her husband's recall from Hobart, and describes a meeting with Mr Chapman, secretary of the Colonial Department, in which were discussed the overthrow of Governor Bligh, and whether rumours of Collins' return had any basis (1 folder).

George Collins Papers
The collection contains a variety of materials, but consists primarily of Collins' correspondence from the 1950s through the 1970s, including his time as a professor at Virginia Tech. Other materials include professional papers, notes from speeches and papers, and travel reports. The collection includes a few photographs, as well as memorabilia from his time teaching at Notre Dame and Virginia Tech.
