Les fonts de la pintura romànica
Un dels punts de referència patrimonial de Catalunya és, no hi ha cap dubte, l'art romànic. Les circumstàncies històriques han fet, però, que molt pocs dels edificis d'aquell període hagin conservat llur decoració. De fet, va caler arribar fins al segle XIX per a què aquesta fos considerada i, doncs, recuperada. El procés no fou automàtic i s'ha perllongat fins els nostres dies, però no hi ha cap dubte que és fill d'aquell segle XIX i en conseqüència conservem el què i el com aquell segle va voler. Per sort o per desgràcia aquells orígens impregnen encara decisions actuals. Un cas paradigmàtic és el de la pintura mural, en part perduda i en part conservada, parcialment in situ i parcialment en museus o col·leccions privades.
