Advances in Design Engineering II
This book contains the papers presented at the XXX International Congress INGEGRAF, “Digital Engineering, its application in Research, Development and Innovation”, held on 24–25 June 2021 in Valencia, Spain. The book reports on cutting-edge topics in product design and manufacturing, such as industrial methods for integrated product and process design; innovative design; and computer-aided design. Further topics covered include virtual simulation and reverse engineering; additive manufacturing; product manufacturing; engineering methods in medicine and education; representation techniques; and nautical, engineering and construction, aeronautics and aerospace design and modeling. The book has six sections, reflecting the focus and primary themes of the conference. The contributions presented here will not only provide researchers, engineers, and experts in a range of industrial engineering subfields with extensive information to support their daily work; but also they are intended to stimulate new research directions, advanced applications of the methods discussed, and future interdisciplinary collaborations.
Spanish Students and Teachers' Preferences Towards Computer-Based and Paper-and-Pencil Tests at Universities
This study was conducted to identify and analyze some significant features that influence students and teachers about computer-based tests (CBT) and paper-and-pencil tests (P & P) at the context of the PAULEX Project. In order to do that, a large experiment has been developed at the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia (Polytechnic University of Valencia), Spain, in which several students and professors have answered a validated questionnaire about their usage of technology, feelings and experiences. They also compared their preferences after doing two similar basic tests, CBT and P & P.

"Ejercicios de planos acotados en ingeniería" es una colección de ejercicios para la práctica de la representación gráfica de elementos propios de proyectos de ingeniería civil y del medio rural mediante el sistema conocido como planos acotados. El libro se divide en 4 secciones (fundamentos de planos acotados, terrenos, construcciones I y construcciones II) donde se presentan ejemplos de los problemas gráficos más usuales de este ámbito (rectas, planos, mínimas distancias, representación de terrenos, cálculo de visuales, cálculo de rutas, cubiertas, balsas, presas, embalses, plataformas y carreteras). En la primera parte del libro se encuentran los enunciados de los problemas. En la segunda parte, se encuentran las soluciones de los mismos, convenientemente explicadas.
