O livro tem por objetivo apresentar alguns resultados das pesquisas que realizei sobre adolescentes em conflito com a lei e o sistema de justiça juvenil. A obra traz uma breve retrospectiva histórica sobre as legislações que constituíram a responsabilidade "penal" do adolescente no Brasil, partindo da época do Império até a promulgação e vigência do ECA; alguns insights teóricos que tratam do processo de rotulação e estigma por que passam os jovens que adentram nas malhas da justiça, bem como os principais resultados das pesquisas, demonstrando que o estigma de infrator se perpetua e, aos poucos, altera a identidade, contribui para a exclusão social e aumenta a probabilidade de desvio futuro.

Regulations affecting 10 stages of a business's life are measured: starting a business, dealing with construction permits, employing workers, registering property, getting credit, protecting investors, paying taxes, trading across borders, enforcing contracts and closing a business. Data in 'Doing Business 2010' are current as of June 1, 2009. The indicators are used to analyze economic outcomes and identify what reforms have worked, where and why.
