After completing his biography of Han van Meegeren, both in Dutch and in English, the author continued to collect information about the artist's life and his art. Although the amount and the importance of the information was not sufficient to justify a new and extended biography, he did not want the data to get lost so he published it here.

After completing his "Life and work of Van Meegeren / A new Vermeer" the author collected more information about the artist. Moreover, as Van Meegeren's own work has been faked, information on these fakes is given here, as well as ways to recognize them. 0During his life Van Meegeren created a great many works under his own name. Approximately 650 of these works have been registered and about 350 of them are known by image. A list of the registered titles and a collection of miniature images complete the book. Also his 24 great fakes are shown.
