Samuel Carpenter and His Descendants
Samuel Carpenter (1649-1728), a Quaker, immigrated from England to Barbados in 1671, and immigrated to Philadelphia in 1683. He married Jane Hardiman in 1684. Descendants lived throughout the United States.
