Este livro foi elaborado por ex-alunos e colaboradores do Grupo NUCEL de Terapia Celular e Molecular da USP, com o objetivo de facilitar a compreensão e aplicação da técnica revolucionária de Edição Genética CRISPR/Cas9. Na parte introdutória, abordamos desde a descrição inicial do locus CRISPR (do inglês Clustered Regularly Interspaced Palindromic Repeats) até a descoberta do mecanismo de funcionamento e o desenvolvimento de formas adaptadas deste sistema para edição gênica direcionada e precisa do genoma de diversos organismos. Em seguida, apresentamos, detalhadamente, o passo a passo de como realizar uma edição gênica de maneira prática e confiável, através do sistema CRISPR/Cas9.
Orçamento impositivo no Brasil
O orçamento público constitui-se em instrumento da nação que espelha o programa econômico e financeiro do Estado. Por meio dele, pretende-se não só atender às demandas coletivas, mas alcançar o equilíbrio político e a racionalidade econômica. O debate sobre a sua natureza jurídica traz à tona a distribuição de competências no exercício do poder financeiro, com importância crucial para toda a sociedade. Epistemologies of the South
This book explores the concept of 'cognitive injustice': the failure to recognise the different ways of knowing by which people across the globe run their lives and provide meaning to their existence.
