Monograf ini menunjukkan faktor-faktor penyebab anemia berkaitan erat dengan pola hidup sehingga meningkatkan potensi remaja terserang anemia.
Buku monograf ini didasari hari hasil penelitian observasional yang dilaksanakan pada anak Sekolah Dasar di Kota Denpasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menemukan model determinan obesitas berdasarkan faktor konsumsi, aktivitas fisik, gaya hidup, sosial dan lingkungan. Sampel dipilih secara acak bertingkat pada anak sekolah dasar di kecamatan Denpasar Timur dan Denpasar Selatan. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan model persamaan struktural untuk menentukan faktor yang memiliki kontribusi paling besar dalam memicu terjadinya obesitas. Temuan dari hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan sebagai dasar untuk penyusunan model intervensi bagi pencegahan dan penanganan obesitas anak sekolah. Agar informasi tentang hasil penelitian ini dapat diterima oleh masyarakat yang lebih luas maka perlu disosialisasikan dalam bentuk buku monograf.
