Dr. Ramesh Pokhrival 'Nishank' who has been the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, and presently the Member of Parliament from Haridwar has in-depth knowledge of both literature and politics. He has written more than four dozen poetry collection, prose collection, and novels till date. His literary works have been translated into foreign languages such as French, Russian, German, Nepali and English, as well as regional languages like Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Sanskrit and Marathi.
