Penatalaksanaan Osteoporosis Pascamenopause
Osteoporosis pascamenopause ditandai dengan berkurangnya massa tulang dan kerusakan arsitekturnya yang terjadi pada pascamenopause, sehingga mengarah pada peningkatan risiko fraktur dan kerap terjadi dengan trauma yang minimal. Fraktur ini meningkat secara eksponensial seiring bertambahnya usia dan paling sering melibatkan tulang belakang, pinggul, atau lengan bawah. Osteoporosis adalah masalah kesehatan dunia yang mengakibatkan sekitar 200 juta fraktur di seluruh dunia setiap tahun. Diperkirakan 1 dari 2 perempuan dan 1 dari 4 pria berusia 50 tahun atau lebih tua, akan menderita fraktur akibat osteoporosis. Perlu diupayakan secara nasional dan internasional perawatan fraktur dan kesehatan tulang pada perempuan pascamenopause. Buku perdarahan uterus abnormal (PUA) ini membahas gejala klinis, penegakkan diagnosis dan tata laksana berdasarkan penyebabnya disertai dengan bukti yang dikumpulkan dari referensi terbaru.
