Algorithms for Computational Biology
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Algorithms for Computational Biology, AlCoB 2020, was planned to be held in Missoula, MT, USA in April 2020. Due to the corona pandemic the conference was postponed to be held together with AlCoB 2021. The 15 full papers included in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 24 submissions. They were organized in topical sections on genomics, phylogenetics, and RNA-Seq and other biological processes.

Cardboard in Architecture
The Department of Building Technology at the Faculty of Architecture at TU Delft is studying and developing cardboard as a potential building material on a broad, systematic and, where possible, comprehensive basis. The guiding research question is: “How can cardboard be used in both architectural and structural terms as a fully fledged building material, making use of the material-specific properties?” An exploratory phase from 2003 to 2005 – including an outdoor pilot structure (multi-shed), a pilot pavilion accommodating; an exhibition, workshops on resistance to fire and to damp, a first patent (KCPK), the design of an interior wall (Besin) and the publication of this book – was concluded by an international symposium attended by both the paper industry and the building industry. This publication comprises the report on that symposium.

Food security emerged as an issue in the first decade of the 21st Century, questioning the sustainability of the human race, which is inevitably related directly to the agricultural water management that has multifaceted dimensions and requires interdisciplinary expertise in order to be dealt with.
