Digitally Assisted, Fully Integrated, Wideband Transmitters for High-Speed Millimeter-Wave Wireless Communication Links
This book presents design methods and considerations for digitally-assisted wideband millimeter-wave transmitters. It addresses comprehensively both RF design and digital implementation simultaneously, in order to design energy- and cost-efficient high-performance transmitters for mm-wave high-speed communications. It covers the complete design flow, from link budget assessment to the transistor-level design of different RF front-end blocks, such as mixers and power amplifiers, presenting different alternatives and discussing the existing trade-offs. The authors also analyze the effect of the imperfections of these blocks in the overall performance, while describing techniques to correct and compensate for them digitally. Well-known techniques are revisited, and some new ones are described, giving examples of their applications and proving them in real integrated circuits.

Wirelessly Powered Sensor Networks and Computational RFID
The Wireless Identification and Sensing Platform (WISP) is the first of a new class of RF-powered sensing and computing systems. Rather than being powered by batteries, these sensor systems are powered by radio waves that are either deliberately broadcast or ambient. Enabled by ongoing exponential improvements in the energy efficiency of microelectronics, RF-powered sensing and computing is rapidly moving along a trajectory from impossible (in the recent past), to feasible (today), toward practical and commonplace (in the near future). This book is a collection of key papers on RF-powered sensing and computing systems including the WISP. Several of the papers grew out of the WISP Challenge, a program in which Intel Corporation donated WISPs to academic applicants who proposed compelling WISP-based projects. The book also includes papers presented at the first WISP Summit, a workshop held in Berkeley, CA in association with the ACM Sensys conference, as well as other relevant papers. The book provides a window into the fascinating new world of wirelessly powered sensing and computing.

Call Me Iliad
Iliad, my main character who suffers from amnesia after being shot by a pervert, is now pursued by another. Toerch is his name a man who will go to any extreme to get his way and his sights are on Iliad. So far she' managed to best him at every encounter they've had. But with every set-back, he's found new ways of retaliating. The last incident was especially hurtful for Iliad because the man shot two of her friends. One of them was Diana's brother, a policeman from California visiting her. The other was Trixie, a friend, who in the ensuing death struggle managed to put them both in the river. The raging waters separate the struggling duo and Toerch is picked up by Mahogany, an acquaintance of his. She takes him to the nearest hospital, but when he realizes she's done, getting out of there becomes a priority. He devices a clever plan and with her help, he's gone long before the law discover his whereabouts. Every officer in Athens wants to get their hands on Toerch, as does Iliad.
Iliad in Limbo
It was ten-thirty at night. Howard said, "Hey lady I bet you would look very elegant dressed up", very softly speaking. He was looking at her with a soft passionate glare in his eyes, as he gazed at her watching her body as she moved around the dining area room. Ther responded, "You been saying that same line every since you walked into this place two years ago negro", smiling at him. Now you know with nine babies, cooking, serving and working, just don't call for time to dress up "No Time!!" Howard said, "yeah! Baby! But , I will buy you the clothes, makeup, get your hair done, the works, shoes everything you need. Just dress up so that I can see what you look like. I bet you'd look like a "MODEL" in one of those magazines. Ther answered "Alright! (sternly) give me the money, honey. . . and I will dress up for you", laughing to herself. Howard jumps up! "Shucks! You ain't said nothing but a word , baby doll!" Howard pulls out a roll of hundreds counting it and walks over to Ther, placing it in her hand. . . so gently. . . closing his hand over hers.
