Dieses Buch behandelt sowohl experimentelle als auch numerische Aspekte des Kopfaufpralls auf die Windschutzscheibe. Ziel der Untersuchungen ist die Umsetzung eines nicht-lokalen Berechnungsmodells mit dem das Bruchverhalten der Windschutzscheibe unter Impaktbelastung prognosesicherer abgebildet werden kann.Darüber hinaus wird die verwendete FE-Modellierungstechnik dargestellt und die Vor- und Nachteile klassischer Versagenskriterien herausgearbeitet.Basierend auf den gewonnenen Erkenntnissen wird ein bruchmechanisch motivierter, nicht-lokaler Ansatz zur Regularisierung der Methode der Elementlöschung erarbeitet und anhand der durchgeführten Kopfaufprallversuche validiert.
