This book reflects and expands on the current trend in the building industry to understand, simulate and ultimately design buildings by taking into consideration the interlinked elements and forces that act on them. Shifting away from the traditional focus, which was exclusively on building tasks, this approach presents new challenges in all areas of the industry, from material and structural to the urban scale. Helke Sander: DIE ALLSEITIG REDUZIERTE PERSÖNLICHKEIT - REDUPERS
Mit "Die allseitig reduzierte Persönlichkeit – Redupers" (1977) ist dieser Band einem Klassiker des feministischen deutschen Kinos gewidmet. In ihrem ersten abendfüllenden Film dokumentiert Helke Sander, wie sich eine alleinerziehende, freiberuflich arbeitende Fotografin ein graues Berliner Märzwochenende lang an den Widerständen einer westdeutschen Gesellschaft abarbeitet, in der es für sie und ihr Leben keinen Platz zu geben scheint. Gespielt wird diese Frau von der Regisseurin und Aktivistin Helke Sander selbst, deren legendäre "Tomaten-Rede" 1968 die deutsche Frauenbewegung angestoßen hatte. Mit langen Fahrtaufnahmen, Anleihen aus dem Essay- und Dokumentarfilm und bissigem Humor folgt "Redupers" der Hauptfigur durch ein feindlich gesinntes Berlin auf der Suche nach einer Sprache für ihre Situation. Unterwegs muss sich diese in politischer, sozialer und ökonomischer Hinsicht so reduzierte Frau immer wieder selbst entwerfen – und sich unablässig dagegen wehren, von anderen entworfen zu werden.

Für eine Kritik dieser prometheischen Biologie verbindet Martin Müller Ansätze aus Medien- und Kulturwissenschaft mit Designtheorie, Wissenschaftsphilosophie und Wissensgeschichte. Seine Genealogie der Zoëpolitik ist gleichsam eine neue Macht- und Lebenstheorie. Sie beschreibt einen ‚Willen zum Lebenmachen‘, der um 1800 entstand. Dieser intensivierte sich und eskalierte im 20. Jahrhundert in der ‚molekularen Revolution‘ und heute im Auftauchen der synthetischen Biologie, welche die planetarische Natur und das biologische Leben in Gänze als ein Interventionsfeld ingenieurtechnischer Kalküle begreift. It details their lives in Australia and the struggles that most migrant families endured in the period before and immediately after the Second World War There is also a brief history of the country of their birth and its progress in the world after the defeat of the Austro – Hungarian and Nazi empires. It details also the extreme hardships of living in an occupied country. The later part of the book describes the life of the author and his family and relations and the achievements attained as intended by their parents when they decided to migrate. The title was derived from the answer to a question that the authors Grandmother posed to her daughter. Is the grass greener on the other side?
