Tough as Nails
The compilation injects a strong dose of humility, helping people come to the realization that they are but part and parcel of the supreme and that, in the grand cosmic sense, humans are miniscule. With short lines filled with frenetic action, the style is both poetic and musical, an ode to Christ as indicated in several poems by phrases like "He paid sin's price." We are called to follow, to take the next step, to keep coming. We don't know what God is doing and He has a reason for that. I know I have tried to "help" many times, and God has graciously cleaned up my messes, set me back on my feet, and kept my feet on the path as I followed Him. I know these poems will bless you. They have blessed me. Sometimes I just "stood on the side" and wrote what God was saying. I wasn't even part of it, but I wrote the words and was amazed. I am still amazed today, and God is getting great glory for Himself.
I AM with You
In the Book "I AM with You" section 1 is God speaking to me. Section 2 is me speaking to God. Section 3 is me speaking to others. It is wonderfully amazing to "listen" for His voice which can only be "heard" in the silence. I had to learn to listen by being quiet. Then, in time, I understood what it is to hear his voice . . . it is all within us and we have to learn to wait patiently until the world becomes "strangely dim". It is at the point of giving up that you become aware of Him with you and wonder if you are making these thoughts up.
