Papers of Jean Berry
The papers contain biographical materials about Berry and background materials and listings of her exhibitions, awards, and associations. The bulk of the collection contains descriptions of the exhibitions of which Berry was a part in the form of announcements, flyers, pamphlets, and newspaper clippings. The papers also include the publications to which Berry contributed art work or which contained articles about her as well as professional correspondence concerning her exhibitions and correspondence with patrons. Also included is the fine art print, "Mary Louise," which Berry created in honor of Mary Louise Smith, former chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, for the 100th anniversary of the YWCA of Greater Des Moines, plus photographs of Berry's exhibits and of several of her artworks.
