Pierre Claverie, la fécondité d'une vie donnée
Assassiné le 1er août 1996 et béatifié par le pape François avec les 18 autres martyrs de l'Église d'Algérie, Pierre Claverie est ici raconté par ceux qui l'ont connu. Ses frères dominicains, sa soeur et ses amis de toujours témoignent de la fécondité de cette vie donnée par amour de l'Église et par fidélité au peuple algérien. Apôtre du dialogue, dénonçant sans relâche la violence et l'intolérance qui se sont abattues dans son pays durant les années 1990, l'évêque d'Oran offre une leçon sur les défis interreligieux et les enjeux du vivre ensemble dans une société pluriculturelle. In Memoriam Francolino Gonçalves, O.P. (1943-2017)
Né à Corujas, dans le Nord-Est du Portugal, le 28 mars 1943 Francolino Gonçalves a fait sa profession religieuse dans lâe(tm)Ordre dominicain en 1960 et fut ordonné prÃatre le 9 novembre 1968. Envoyé dâe(tm)abord à lâe(tm)Ecole biblique de Jérusalem, il partit à Louvain faire son doctorat qui fut publié en 1986 dans les Ã%tudes bibliques collection dont il fut ensuite le directeur, comme des Cahiers de la Revue biblique, pour des longues années. Son enseignement à lâe(tm)Ã%cole et dans plusieurs autres institutions académiques lui valut nombre dâe(tm)honneurs et la nomination en 2008 à la Commission Biblique Pontificale. Aprà ̈s une vie de recherche, dâe(tm)enseignement et de publications il est décédé peu avant lâe(tm)aube du 15 juin 2017. Le présent volume est dédié à sa mémoire et contient des études prophétiques, historiques et épigraphiques de ses frà ̈res, collà ̈gues, étudiants et amis.

Marcel Sigrist is known in the world of assyriologists for his major contribution to the knowledge of the Ur III period (ca. 2100-2000 BC), owing in particular to the transcription of thousands of tablets that he published in various books. For several decades he taught Assyriology at the Ecole biblique et archeologique francaise de Jerusalem, where he also served as the director on several occasions. His scholarly legacy includes a selfless commitment to science, a desire to make the world of the Bible better known, as well as a concern to share his knowledge of the Ancient Near East and the Holy Land with a wider audience and not only with specialists. The many researchers, from all over the world who came to work in Jerusalem also remember Marcel Sigrist's warm welcome.
