Desain adalah suatu proses dan cara berfikir yang dapat membantu menciptakan hasil yang diharapkan. Bahan ajar adalah segala bentuk bahan yang digunakan untuk membantu guru atau instruktor dalam melaksanakan kegiatan belajar mengajar. Kegiatan pembelajaran bergantung juga pada bahan ajar. Bahan ajar merupakan informasi, alat dan teks yang diperlukan untuk perencanaan dan penelaahan implementasi pembelajaran.
