Für mindestens 100 Jahre nach der Unabhängigkeit zog die Stadt Intellektuelle, politische Aktivisten und Angehörige der Oberschicht aus allen Staaten Süd- und Mittelamerikas an. Die vorliegende Studie ist die erste empirische Analyse dieser lateinamerikanischen Präsenz in Paris und geht Fragen der Identitätsbildung der Akteure im Mikrokosmos der Stadt nach.
