Of particular note are nine cartons of illustrated journals detailing Brandi's work in the Peace Corps; travels throughout the Americas, India, and Asia; and his work as a poet and artist.

The correspondence is signed variously as "John", "Juan 2Shoe", "Two Shoe", or just "2." Topics covered mostly concern poetry and the publishing business.
