Jackson Pritchard is a wanted man. Wanted by his clients, by an ex-lover, by a new love interest...and now by the police for questioning. His clients have begun to turn up dead. Jessica Young wants to live her own life for a change. Now that her second life is ready to begin, her path crosses Jackson's. Follow them across the country and further as their adventures culminate in an explosive and surprise ending. Pepper Jack is a thriller much in the style of James Patterson. Set predominantly in Memphis, it is filled with rich Southern character and characters. The dialogue is fun and fast and the characters are memorable and enjoyable, even the bad guys! Let yourself be swept in the story and see the pages turn themselves.

Marriages of Orange County, North Carolina, 1779-1868

Marriages of Orange County contains abstracts of all the marriage bonds issued in Orange County from 1779 until 1868, when marriage bonds--as prerequisites for marriage--were discontinued. These marriage records were abstracted from a microfilm copy of the original marriage bonds on file at the State Archives in Raleigh and refer altogether to some 20,000 persons, including bondsmen. The data is arranged throughout in alphabetical order by the surname of the groom, and each entry includes the name of the bride, the date of the bond, the name of the bondsman, and, from 1851, the date of the actual marriage.

Millennials have disrupted almost every major industry. Whether you’re a parent trying to raise them, a pastor trying to reach them, or an employer trying to retain them, they’re disruptive. As the largest living generation, millennials are one of the most studied but misunderstood groups of our day. And the chasm between the generations is only getting wider. Speaker and founder of the Initiative Network Grant Skeldon pulls back the confusing statistics about millennials to reveal the root issue: it’s not a millennial problem, it’s a discipleship problem. Millennials are known for their struggle to hold jobs, reluctance to live on their own, and alarming migration away from the chur...

Church People in the Struggle

In the 1960s, the mainstream Protestant churches responded to an urgent need by becoming deeply involved with the national black community in its struggle for racial justice. The National Council of Churches (NCC), as the principal ecumenical organization of the national Protestant religious establishment, initiated an active new role by establishing a Commission on Religion and Race in 1963. Focusing primarily on the efforts of the NCC, this is the first study by an historian to examine the relationship of the predominantly white, mainstream Protestant Churches to the Civil Rights movement. Drawing on hitherto little-used and unknown archival resources and extensive interviews with particip...
