John Cochran (1797-1881) was born in County Tyrone, Ireland and immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1809, first to Lancaster and later Tyrone. His descendant, Joseph Wilson Cochran (1865-1944) was born at McVeytown, Pennsylvania. He married Sarah Eva Godwin in Topeka, Kansas (1870-1959). Descendants lived in Kansas, Missouri, Virginia, Washington, and elsewhere.
